Wonderboom National Airport will be hosting AERO South Africa 2019
Situated some 11 kilometres from the Pretoria city centre, Wonderboom National Airport will host AERO South Africa event from 4 to 6 July this year. The airport’s strategic location north of the city centre, close to the N1 that leads to Polokwane and the N4 (Bakwena Highway) that leads to Rustenburg (in the north) and Emalahleni (in the east), makes it the ideal venue for this prestigious event. It is therefore no surprise that more than 60% of the exhibition space has been sold.
Preparations for AERO South Africa are in full swing, with international brands such as Bose and Garmin already confirmed. Messe Frankfurt South Africa (MFSA) have also confirmed the participation of the Absolute Aviation Group as well as ExecuJet South Africa. The quick up-take of exhibition space for the inaugural event, is testament that the industry welcomes an event of this nature.
Messe Friedrichshafen, the organizers of Europe’s largest general aviation trade show, AERO Friedrichshafen, has joined forces with MFSA to present AERO South Africa. Set to be Africa’s largest general aviation trade show. “Expect three days of excitement, demonstrations and face-to-face business meetings with the marketers of business jets, helicopters, remotely piloted aircraft, ultralights, gliders and electric aircraft as well as avionic technologies on display,” said Shaun Swart, Head of Business Development at Messe Frankfurt South Africa. “We are extremely excited about the positive support AERO South Africa is receiving from the industry,” continued Swart. “South Africa is an under-sourced and untapped aviation market, compared to Europe. It makes sense to host this aviation trade show in southern Africa and with the support of Europe’s largest general aviation show, we are confident that this will become the go-to industry platform. In addition, Wonderboom National Airport is the perfect location choice as it allows for fly-ins and demo flights during the show,” added Swart.
