Gates 3/5/13 parking and canopy upgrades
Gate 3 and 5 are recipients of security porte-cochere that have been installed, paid parking area has been completed at gate 13.

Runway
The runway has been in operation for some years now and proven to be reliable and positive feedback has been received, describing the surface as level and ‘delightful’.  During heavy downpours and continuous rain standing water is measured and found to be well drained and no reports of adverse braking or standing water has been received.  We invite pilots and operators again to provide feedback should such be experienced.

Airshows - June 2018

June 2018 - Airshows

South African Air Force (SAAF) Museum airshow 2018

Staged at AFB Swartkop on Saturday 5 May, this year’s annual SAAF Museum airshow was a considerable improvement over the past three years. We were fortunate to have been invited by the AAD2018 team to spend the day at its chalet to the north of the long crowd line and we would like to thank the organisers as well as CAASA for their excellent company.

Lowveld airshow – Absolutely brilliant!

Held on Saturday 12 May and possibly one of the finest South African airshows the African Pilot team has ever been privileged to cover, the Kishugu Lowveld airshow held at the Nelspruit airfield was thoroughly entertaining. Then to cap it all the weather was airshow picture perfect with almost no wind and only a few high clouds that made pictures interesting.
